BOSTON, Nov. 25.

The falsehood propagated by Capt. Jones, arrived at Portland, of the pressing of men, by the British, from the convoy of the ship George Washington, has been contradicted by all the other Masters in the convoy, and by one of the Lieutenants of the George Washington. It is to be hoped the United States Attorney for the district of Maine, will notice the falsehood, which has given so much occasion for slander against the government of the United States, and the British commanders.
