HEAD. LAKELAND
Lakeland, Dec. 9 (FNS).—
Frank Holder, executive secretary of the Taft Memorial Highway Association, arrived here last week and has established convention headquarters at the New Florida Hotel.
The Convention, which will be held here March 6-7 is expected to attract state and county officials mayors and many prominent citizens from the several states bordering the highway.
Local city officials are making elaborate plans to entertain the visitors while the newly established convention bureau is busy sending out invitations and publicity to all Taft Highway territory. Large motor delegations are expected from Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and other states.
