Only a very light vote is being anticipated in Noble county for the primary election next Tuesday, according to Clem Dutton, chairman of the board of elections.
Since a light vote is expected, results of the primary should be tallied fairly early at the election board in Caldwell. Precinct workers will tally the entire Republican and Democratic ballots and then report the complete results.
It was announced today that C. R. Atkinson of Batesville, would be a "Write-in" candidate on the Democratic ticket for the office of auditor.
Other than the state level, the Republicans in this county are centering their interest on the four-way race for nomination of commissioner and the central committee fight in practically
Kenneth G. Kearns, C. L. Franklin, William Parry and M. L. Rayner are the four candidates. Each is waging a top battle in his fight and the outcome is very much in doubt.
It is understood that one of the candidates has the blessing of the "powers that be" in the courthouse but the opposition is doing everything possible to break this monopoly for the last eight years.
There are no contests on the Democratic ticket locally and the vote here should be extremely light. The party is urging all to get out and write in the name of "C. R. Atkinson."
