--Ye local can beat anybody discussing Christmas turkey. Try 'em.
--A pound party to night at M. Camp's by the Social Club. If you have an invitation be certain and attend.
--Somebody wants a tournament Christmas.
--When Grant leaves the Presidency he will be an ex (Grant.-- Atlanta Herald. And his leaving a God grant.
--The fellow who visited one of our popular millinery establishments in search of some blue turkey red, was assured he would find it at the beef market.
--Our friend, Ben Payne, of Canton, has been in attendance upon the Court here for the last two weeks. He figures as short-hand reporter in addition to his functions as attorney. If we were some of the girls we would utilize the remainder of this leap year by making love to Ben.
--Bad to see so many of our young men in the gutter on last Sunday evening, but the sidewalk was too slippery and this was the only chance to locomote.
--Miss Marks, of San Francisco, is stopping at the Kennesaw House.
--The Misses Force, of Atlanta, are visiting Miss Annie Camp.
--Miss Julia Iverson, of Rome, is visiting her cousins, the Misses Branham.
--Miss Nellie Grogan, of Acworth, and Miss Avie O'Neill of Cherokee county are on a visit to Mrs. H. D. McCutcheon.
--The tallest young man in town says that the park is just three lengths across taking his corporeal exaltation as the linear unit. He measured it last Monday morning.
