I. V. Train Wreck Causes Suit Here
The horror of the train wreck which took 14 lives at Tortuga siding in northeastern Imperial county last September was recalled Saturday when a $54,000 damage suit was filed against the Southern Pacific company.
Mrs. Cecelia F. Peterson named Eric Leonard Jacobson, brakeman who threw the switch and caused the collision between two passenger trains, as one of the defendants.
She alleged injuries suffered in the wreck resulted in the premature birth of her child. The child, she said, was born dead.
