Fair Notes.

Major Barkley returned yesterday from the Marshall fair. Everything of interest there, including the fleet stock, will be on hand here on the 22d.

Belle Barkley and Ella Rowett are in fine condition, and will show their heels to anything which has not a No. 1 score already.

Spencer, from Hempstead, won five races at Marshall. He will be on hand at Dallas.

The lady exhibitors at Marshall will be on hand to "mix it" with their fair sisters of Dallas. They will exhibit many articles of real interest.

The citizens of Marshall generally will be on hand on the 22d.

Colonel Noble will run extra trains on the Texas and Pacific during the fair. Excursion rates.

Washington, it appears, was first in war, first in peace, and first in Georgia.

Painful question asked by the Rochester democrat. How much can the Russian bear?
