17 LOCAL MARINE RESERVISTS CALLED TO ACTIVE DUTY

Bauxite boys who received their call to active duty with the U. S. Marine Corps are: John Jensen, Freddie Wright, Bobby Ball, George Smith, Jr., James Smith, Clark Fulcher, Bobby Edmonson, Don Lauks, Hugh Green, Tillman Mitchell, Norman Hawkins, Bert Ward, A. J. Medlin, Walter Stuckey, Bobby Hobbs, Carl Henning and Charles Cady. The boys left by train for Camp Pendleton, California August 4th. Lieutenant D. L. Phillips, former vocational arts instructor here accompanied the group.
