On Saturday last a Coroner's Inquest was held on the Body of one Charles Deperaux, who first attempted to murder his Wife, by stabbing her in the Breast with Scissors, and being then in the Street, close to the Door, her Outcries alarmed the People, who opened the Door to her Relief, and shut it against him, upon which he cut his own Throat, by two Gashes across, the Uppermost being almost from Ear to Ear, cutting both the Jugular Vein and Pipe quite off, of which he instantly died.--a bloody Razor and Scissors were found near him.---He had several Times before attempted to hang himself and about 8 Days before had told a Jesuit, he would murder his Wife, and that he should assist him at the Gallows.--The Inquest found it Felo de Se, or Wilful Murder. and ordered him to be buried on the Road to St Foix, at a cross Path.
