A LOOKING AND ALSTEINC
By Ellen Hagedorn
The magazine cartoon showed a woman standing before a table upon which was heaped the contents of her handbag.
"Ridiculous," I thought, "no woman carries all that stuff in her bag."
To prove my point, I turned my own handbag upside down on the floor, and this is what I found:
Handkerchief, first aid chart, pen and pencil set, compact, lipstick, sunglasses, car keys, house keys, penknife, comb and mirror, small calendar, two shopping lists, package of life savers, booklet containing membership cards of various organizations, plus family snap shots.
And then, the prize item of all—three pieces of lump sugar for any stray horses I might chance to meet!
