WOMAN'S RIBS BROKEN.

When Thrown from Carriage When Horse Shied.

Brattleboro, Sept. 2. - A horse that Alvin Coombs of 18 Oak Grove avenue was driving yesterday afternoon shied at an electric car on Canal street, and the carriage struck the curbing, throwing out Mrs. Coombs, who struck against a pole fracturing several ribs on her left side. She was taken into the home of Dr. E. H. Lynch and later removed to her home in the ambulance attended by Dr. Lynch.

The animal was caught before running far. Mr. Coombs was uninjured.
