Full Text
Sunday night an alarm of fire was sounded just at church time, the cause was an auto owned by H. J. Arnold being afire.
Mr. Arnold keeps the auto in a livery barn, he had the machine out for a ride and in taking it back to the barn the gasoline valve was turned off, and it leaked out and saturated the floor.
One of the barn men lighted a lantern and threw a lighted match under the car—there was a puff and in an instant the machine was wrapped in flames, the car was run out of the barn and the blaze extinguished with extinguishers.
The damage to the machine was slight, but the barn had a narrow escape.
