A circular letter of the King of Prussia, dated Cleves, December 14th, 1766, has just appeared at Berlin, by which his Majesty declares "That having been informed that many persons are desirous of retiring from Switzerland into the province of Cleves, to rent farms, and to establish different manufactures there, he therefore ordains that, without any regard to the religion they profess, they shall be well received and protected, and furnished with lodging and all things proper for what they may undertake, relative to their establishment in the said province."
