SAN CARLOS DAM TO BE SURVEYED. CONTRACT SIGNED

PHOENIX, Dec. 18.—At a meeting of the state land board held this morning a contract was entered into with the United States reclamation service in regard to the completion of the survey of the San Carlos dam project and to co-operate with the United States land department in determining the feasibility of certain irrigation projects now under consideration by this state.

W. W. Schiecht, project manager of the United States land department at Yuma, Ariz., represented the government at the meeting and expressed his willingness to co-operate with the work of the state.
