A Boy Accidentally Shot by a Gunner.

Herbert W. Stearns, a lad twelve years of age, residing on the river road, near Uniontown, was accidentally shot in the left foot yesterday morning by a gunner named Hutchinson.

Young Stearns was gathering chestnuts in a wood, when a rabbit jumped up, which Hutchinson, who was standing near by, fired at. He missed the rabbit, however, and about fifteen shot lodged in the foot of the boy. The wounded lad was taken to the residence of Dr. Little, in Uniontown, where he received proper attention and was afterward taken home. No blame was attached to Mr. Hutchinson, who was very much worried about his unfortunate shot.
