THE PLOT DISCOVERED.

By a Member of Congress who arrived in town on Saturday, we learn, that the most important discoveries were made by the arrest of Dr. Romayne of New-York, among his papers it is said, is found sufficient evidence, which will hereafter be made public, to prove incontrovertibly that the British Minister at Philadelphia, not only encouraged Blount in his plot of invasion, but was in fact at the very bottom of the whole transaction. The public will soon be able to judge for themselves of this deep laid British Plot, to involve this Country in War.

It is further said, that this Dr. Romayne is the identical person of consequence who was sent to England by Liston, on the business, he has been a British officer.
