It was only the dread produced in his mind on the tumbler of water being presented to him that alarmed him and the family, and brought to their recollection the incident of last August. The spasms violently increased. During the interval he conversed freely with his friends, and told some of them on Monday morning that he had lived four hours longer than he had anticipated. He begged them to tie him, which was done upon the occasion of another spasm in which he frothed and foamed dreadfully at the mouth, and thus continued in the most horrid agonies, at intervals lucid, until death closed the mournful scene. We do not know who were his medical attendants, and have derived these particulars from one of his friends. The deceased was in the prime of life, of respectable character, and has left a wife and two children.
