FARMERS SEARCH FOR
MISSING GIRL AND MAN.

ELMIRA, N. Y., May 29—A posse of farmers to-day searched the woods near this city for Charlotte Conklin, aged thirteen years, daughter of a farmer. Search was also made for George Van Horn, who was released on parole from the Elmira Reformatory on May 11. After his release Van Horn secured work on the farm adjoining that owned by the father of Miss Conklin and yesterday both the girl and Van Horn disappeared. A neighbor declares that he saw Van Horn leading the girl into the woods. Van Horn is thirty-five years old and was sent to the Reformatory from Ontario County.
