NEWARK, N. J., Sept. 10—E. I. DuPont DeNemours Company of Wilmington, Del., and Rohm & Haas Company of Bristol, Pa., are accused by the Federal Government of conspiring with a German corporation in connection with supplies in competition for manufacture of plastic vital in the construction of warplanes.
In an indictment returned by a Federal Grand Jury August 10, but kept secret until today, the first company is accused of entering a conspiracy in restraint of interstate and foreign commerce on Acrylic products.
These are used to make transparent noses on bombers, cockpit hoods and machine gun turrets.
Attorney Gen. Francis Biddle announced the trial is postponed until after the war.
