BURNING FOR RUNNING.

A letter from Norfolk, of the 17th inst. says ' A good deal of indignation had been excited against a noted French privateer, which was fitting out here. whose captain had threatened depredations on American Commerce, and had been guilty of many—and it had been alleged that she was even waiting for the Cuthbert. Our uneasiness on that head was removed the night before last, by some person (unknown) going on board of her and setting fire to her, when she was entirely destroyed, tho' not without exposing other shipping to imminent danger.'
