Full Text
A very intelligent lady friend writes us in praise of the Free Press as follows: We highly appreciate such sentiments, and trust all who entertain them will not forget that the paper also needs the patronage of such as approve its course. It certainly has nothing to expect from "the other side" but enmity and opposition. But read what our friend says:
"You will allow me to say that I consider your paper one of the purest in tone and highest in moral principle that is not strictly a religious paper, that I know of."
