Mormon Hate.

United States District Attorney Dickson was assaulted at the Continental Hotel, Salt Lake City, recently, by three men who called him to the outer door. Judge Powers and Major Erley, the proprietor, thinking there was something suspicious, followed Mr. Dickson and were just in time to arrest two of his assailants, who proved to be Frank J. Cannon, son of George Q. Cannon, and Angus Cannon. The third, who escaped, is unknown. A policeman afterward took Frank J. Cannon away, contrary to Judge Powers' orders. United States Marshal Ireland took the other under his own charge. Mr. Dickson is not seriously hurt.
