Midget race cars will play tag at the Imperial fair grounds race track Tuesday night in a thrill and spill program starting at 8:15, ICRA officials announced Saturday.

The races, resumed after a three week layoff, will feature a list of drivers from San Diego, Phoenix, Yuma and possibly Los Angeles.

Bob Douthitt, Pike Meadows, Hobe Herrick, Claude Herrick and Wes Anderson will lead valley drivers.

Anderson was expected to return to action after a long absence.

The feature races of the program will match the ever dangerous Hobe Herrick against invading drivers. Herrick has managed to outdistance invading drivers on occasions too numerous to mention.

This week, however, three exceedingly fast cars have been scheduled to make the going more than just interesting for the valley's champion.
