Heart Upside-Down Funnybone In Knee

HOLLYWOOD—Arlene Dahl is a girl with an upside-down heart, and now it has been discovered that she has her funnybone in her knees!

Her unusual "heart" condition was noticed when the beautiful red-haired actress was being fitted for a low-cut evening gown for her role in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's "A Southern Yankee." On her bare shoulder was revealed a birthmark, in the exact shape of a heart upside-down.

The latest discovery came, however, when she was doing a comedy scene with Red Skelton recently. When Red cracked a series of adlib gags in quick succession, Miss Dahl's knees suddenly shot out from under her and she landed in a heap on the floor.

"It always happens like that when I hear something really funny," she declared. "It hits me in the knees!"
