The subject of the Westminster Remonstrance contained little more in substance than that lately presented by the Livery of London, except the last article, it is to the following purport.
"That his Majesty was graciously pleased to signify to the Remonstrants of the city of London," That he would always be ready to hear the complaints of his people, and wishing to redress them; that they the Electors of Westminster, depending on his royal word, now claimed that redress, and therefore requested of his Majesty, that as a very effectual part of the rights of the people were taken away by the authority extended by the act of choosing a Representative of their own instead of accepting one chosen by them; that to restore the constitution to its original state, his Majesty would be pleased to dissolve the present Parliament."

Event Details
A crowd from Westminster Hall met and insulted the Speaker with groans, hissings, and direct approaches to his carriage. The Westminster Remonstrance echoed London's but added a plea relying on the King's promise to redress complaints by dissolving Parliament, as electoral rights were undermined by imposed representatives.
