1. That the high contracting parties agree, offensively and defensively, reciprocally to assist each other, in case of any attack whatever.
2. That Russia, as an interpretation in point, shall dispatch, the moment the navigation of the Baltic is open, fifteen sail of the line and six frigates, completely equipped and manned, to the assistance of Great Britain, to be employed in any part of the world, and against any of her enemies.
3d. In consideration of the above assistance, Great Britain to pay Russia an annual subsidy, to be reckoned from signing the treaty, of 500,000l.
4th. Upon requisition from Great Britain, the latter finding transports, Russia further to give the assistance of 20,000 regular infantry, to serve in America, or the West Indies.
5th. In such case a farther subsidy of 500,000l.
