Police Seek Aid To Curb Thug Gangs

Inspector Edward Morgan, of the Canfield Police precinct, announces that there is a wave of hold-ups and similar lawless acts being engaged in by young colored boys in his precinct, ranging in age from 18 to 20 years.

A number of citizens in this area, the officer states, have lately been held up and robbed at the point of guns and knives and some of them have been man-handled by the young law-breakers.

In an effort to curb these crimes, Inspector Morgan has assigned special officers to guard this area. He invites all citizens to give their cooperation in helping to break up these youthful gangs, so as to avert killings that might occur, either by policemen or young hold-up men.
