Colwater, Mich., Aug. 29.—A cyclone accompanied by lightning, rain and hail struck the south side of this city last night. The track of the wind was about 120 rods wide. It struck a three-story wooden building 180 feet long by 40 feet wide belonging to the Coldwater Road Company, filled with $15,000 worth of materials and finished work, and demolished it. A windmill west of the depot was carried over the pump house several feet above some telegraph wires. The tin roof of the wheelbarrow factory was rolled up and landed eight rods away and almost the entire roof with the rafters taken off. Orchards suffered severely. The loss to the cart company is estimated at $10,000.
