Tuesday afternoon we had a call from Mr. W. J. Vaden, who has been for a number of years one of the efficient county officers of Menard county, but is now a resident of Maverick county. Mr. Vaden gave us a description of a hunting excursion he was engaged in some months ago, which is the same we gave our readers at the time, in connection with the stock business company, which was a most successful one. He reports the country in that section suffering from lack of rain, but otherwise in good condition. —Brackett News.
