War Fund Group For City Named

R. T. Price, county chairman, Randolph Bias and Hubert G. Clark have been named members of the West Virginia State War Fund General Campaign committee, Richard E. Talbott, state chairman, announced.

West Virginia's share of the national quota this year is $1,000,000. Mingo county's quota of $20,000 will be raised as part of the $25,400 drive here starting Sept. 10. The balance will be apportioned among local agencies.

"As it did in the USO drive a year ago, West Virginia will go over the top in this year's drive," Talbott said in making the local appointments. "The state committee has already received several substantial gifts for the worthy causes listed in the fund. We ask people now to get ready to back up their community campaign programs so we can put over the drive in the shortest possible time, with the best record of any state in the Union."
