Elk River—The Elk River Pharmacy received a load of wood it did not order last week, dumped right in its show window without waiting to open it up. A four-wheeled trailer, loaded with chunk wood, broke loose from the sedan which was pulling it, crashed into the brick wall of the drug store and dumped its load right through the front window, piling it up on the display platform as neatly as though it had been done by hand.
The plate glass window was broken into hundreds of pieces and the brick wall below crashed in, but no one was hurt. The car was headed down the pavement toward Anoka when the trailer broke loose, keeping nicely on the pavement for a short distance and then suddenly deciding to drop into the drug store—perhaps for a soda.
