Dr. DuBois Retired:
An event of rare importance is announced retirement of Dr. W. E. B. DuBois, for 40 years one of the most impressive figures in modern times. He must carry with him into retirement the gratitude of 13,000,000 Negroes in this country and of Negroes throughout the world for his brilliant leadership in every sense of the word. Dr. DuBois without doubt the ablest Negro has stalwart defender! impressive manners, his noted scholarship in fields and study of race his challenges and yet it and his eloquence in all the racial and so on. He has sailed through that of bitter combat. He has seen with clearness and conviction. He shall hit the white and I would or people on the hitting parsian 11 i in imitation of men that so many with his zeal but lacking his ability are trying to popularize themselves as the leaders while their views are hardly more than unadulterated emotionalism drunk and excessive verbiage. Dr. DuBois comes stately stepping down through many years the plumed knight of the interracial combat. We hail the retiring veteran of the power for people!
