SAVANNAH, Nov. 21—Arr. Revenue Cutter Dallas, Capt. Smith, from a cruise. The Cutter has brought in the Spanish schr. Tantella, with 137 slaves. The Tantella was bound to Havana, and was captured by the Patriot privateer Brutus, and ordered into Amelia. The Saranac, on discovering the Tantella, sent her boat with an officer on board. Austin, the prize-master of the schooner, would not suffer the boarding officer to come on board, and fired into the boat, a volley of musketry, but did no damage. The Saranac perceiving this immediately opened a broadside on the schr. cut away her boom, and disabled her much. The schr. however, made her escape and got into Amelia. Capt. Elkton demanded the Tantella, which was refused—Capt. E. then blockaded the port of Amelia, suffering nothing to pass, which induced Aury to give the schr. up after taking 17 slaves, and plundering her of many valuable articles. The Saranac then ordered the Tantella for this port for adjudication, under convoy of the Cutter Dallas.
