Full Text

Extract of a letter from London, Feb. 4.

Indeed the face of politicks wears a melancholy aspect at present, and what will be the issue Heaven alone can tell. While the colonies are in an uproar about their liberties the people here are enraged, almost to a degree of desperation, at seeing their rights infringed in the person of Mr. Wilkes, who was yesterday expelled the House of Commons, by a majority of 103. Nothing so much alarms the merchants here as your resolutions to import no more goods, which will have a more salutary influence than all the mob triumphs in the world.
