Senate Approves New Policies In Vote

PARIS. April 13. (UP)-

Premier Edouard Daladier's 'national defense' government rode into full power to rule French financial and economic policies by decree today when the senate voted overwhelmingly to support the chamber's indorsement of the new policy.

The bill. passed earlier by the chamber by a vote of 508 to 12. was first approved by the senate finance commission with only one dissenting vote. and then adopted by the full senate. 288 to 1.

The action of the two houses ended the current session of parliament. which now will be in recess until July 31. during which time the government will have power to promulgate laws. These laws will have full effect until parliament meets later in the year and approves or nullifies them.
