COLONY OF BLACKS.

The Virginia Senate and House of Delegates have passed a concurrent resolution "for procuring a Territory to which free persons of color may be removed, either on the coast of Africa, or on the coast of the North Pacific Ocean, or such other place as the government of the United States may select."

A meeting has been held at Georgetown, D.C. by the Free Blacks, on the proposed subject of Colonization. Some were against moving at all—others were willing to accept a grant of a large tract of land within the limits of the United States, and undertaken to establishing a Government under the protection of the same, but by no means to go to Africa or to the N. W. Coast—They spoke of already owning land—maintaining themselves—and of having served in our army and navy.
