IN MEMORY OF HARRISON.
Chicago, Ill., July 4.-With interesting
exercises and in the presence of a
large crowd a heroic size statue of the
late Mayor Carter H. Harrison, who
was
assassinated Oct. 28, 1893, was
unveiled today in Union Park. A tablet on the pedestal of the statue bears
the following quotation from an address
delivered by Mayor Harrison at the
World's Fair on the day of his
assassination:
"Genius Is but audacity
and the audacity of Chicago has chosen
a star.
It has looked upward to it
