MEN ARE SOUGHT IN ASSAULT AND AUTO ROBBERY IN SALUDA

SALUDA. May 23.--About midnight on Friday, Tom Stuart, switchman at safety switch No. 1 was assaulted and his car taken from him. Stuart had just gone to the garage, taken out the car and was about to drive away when he was ordered to put up his hands and a pistol pointed at him. He sprang at his assailant and was wrestling with him when a second man knocked him senseless with a heavy blow on the head. When Stuart regained consciousness he called the Saluda police and search was begun for the thieves and the car.
