His Version of the Keirnan-Aldridge Affair.
Mr. Thomas F. Noonan, whose name was mentioned in connection with the recent indictment of Judge Thomas Aldridge, denies that he assisted the Judge in the Keirnan matter or collected any money for him. He says the facts of the case are that the Judge collected the $160 for Keirnan about two years ago, and upon his failure to pay the money over to Keirnan the latter employed him, Noonan, to collect the money from Aldridge.
Keirnan was about to leave the country and sold his claim against Aldridge to Noonan for $100 with the understanding that if he had much trouble in collecting the money from Aldridge he should have it all, and if Aldridge paid the money down he should charge Keirnan only a reasonable fee for collecting the $60 balance.
Aldridge, Mr. Noonan said, paid only $35 on account and all that Keirnan is out is the difference between $160 and the $110 paid him by Mr. Noonan.
