Overlapping Of Various Functions Would Be Eliminated Under New Plan

A conference aimed at clarification of Montgomery County's involved welfare set-up and elimination of the over-lapping functions of various relief agencies is to be called by the county commissioners within the next few days.

Representatives of the new Department of Public Welfare and the Public Welfare Board are to meet with the commissioners and endeavor to work out some solution to the problem which finds three organizations carrying on work among the destitute county residents.

The decision to call the parley was reached after Judges Thomas C. Kelley of Orphans' Court, chairman of the Welfare Department's advisory board, appeared before the commissioners Tuesday and urged them to act to clarify the situation.
