Theodore Benjamin, 60 years old, of Shrewsbury was knocked down by a horse and carriage at Washington Square driven by J. H. Washburn about 10.30 o'clock yesterday morning. It was at first thought that Benjamin was badly injured, but he soon recovered sufficiently to show that he was simply under the influence of liquor. He was arrested by Officers James J. Burke and Joseph A. Sinnott and was booked for drunkenness at Station 1. When searched he was found to have $117.95 in his clothing. He refused to tell anything about his relatives.
