Full Text

VEGETABLE CURIOSITY.—COL. H. K. List left at our office, two or three days ago, one of the greatest curiosities in the vegetable kingdom we have ever seen. It is nothing less than an ordinary sized potato, filled with small tubers, several of which have bursted their covering and protrude through the surface. These small potatoes are as perfectly formed as the large one covering them. All who have seen it say that nothing of the kind has ever before come under their observation. This freak of nature is on exhibition in our counting room, and lovers of the curious are invited to examine it.
