Woodsmen Seek Body of Pilot

CAMAS, Wash., Jan. 29. (U.P.)—In the wild, wooded country near the foot of Bluff Mountain, 10 miles northeast of Washougal, Wash., a group of expert woodsmen today sought the body of Walter E. Case, airmail pilot.

Presumably his body will be found, as three aviators identified a wrecked plane Wednesday afternoon as that of the Varney Air Lines pilot, who disappeared last Thursday while flying the regular air mail route between Portland and Pasco, Wash.

The plane was not burned and it appeared that Case flew directly into Bluff Mountain, a solid rock peak that towers about 1000 feet.
