We hear that a young Woman, in the Service of Mr. Brewer, Innholder in Waltham, in the County of Middlesex, having, last Tuesday or Wednesday Morning, lain in Bed rather later than common, Mrs. Brewer went up to enquire the Reason; the young Woman sent back Word, that she should be down in a few Minutes, accordingly came; when Mrs. Brewer, observing that her Looks and Behaviour were not as usual, asked her if she had had a Child, to which she answered, that she had not: But her Reply not being satisfactory, Search was made in her Chamber, and a new born Infant was found dead under her Bed Cloaths. The young Woman, we also hear, was so ill, after the Discovery, that it was thought she could not survive.
