Education of the Blind.—The bill for the establishment of an Institution for the education of the Blind, has passed both Houses of our Legislature, and only now requires the signature of the Governor to make it the law of the State. The bill appropriates directly from the Treasury $3,000 for the erection of buildings, furnishing the same, &c.; and imposes a tax of one cent upon each $100 of taxable property in the State for its support. This will create an aggregate revenue of $10,000 annually. The benefits of an Institution of this character, will be readily perceived and appreciated.
