Cancer Drive In
Union County Is
Over The Quota

A near-final report on the 1955 fund drive of the Union County Unit, American Cancer Society, shows contributions of $4,228.07 compared with the drive quota of $3,000.

The over-the-top success of the drive was reported at the recent regular meeting of the Unit by Mrs. Max Rogers, campaign chairman.

Other action taken at the meeting included the decision to send a letter to all organizations in the county requesting them to schedule a cancer film showing on their programs for the coming year.

Those present for the Unit meeting in the county health department were Meredith Hall, president; Miss Evelyn Braum, acting secretary for Mrs. Mary Mills; Miss Fern Berger, treasurer; Mrs. Owen McAllister, executive secretary; Mrs. Rogers and township drive chairman, Mrs. Harold Rausch, Darby; Mrs. Parker Shanks, Millcreek; Mrs. Chester Scheiderer, Union; Mrs. Virginia Phelps, Milford Center, and Mrs. Rosina Fladt, Marysville.
