PRESIDENT PERRY Tendered a Reception by Cincinnati Alumni of the College.

Cincinnati, Ohio, March 23.-The reception tendered by the alumni and friends of Marietta College to Alfred Tyler Perry, last evening at the Literary Club rooms, was well attended by the leading educators and the literary and professional men of the city.

Mr. Perry, who has within the past year been raised to the Presidency at Marietta, comes as a stranger to Ohio from the East, and the greeting that was extended to him on his arrival in this city was most cordial and hearty.

The informal reception method of introducing a stranger within the gates of the city to those whom one most desires to meet is a happy one, and in this instance was the means of bringing together a distinguished company.
