Full Text

Nasty Weather.—Yesterday opened with a style of weather by sailors usually denominated "dirty." The rain fell in a drizzling, misty, uncertain way as if undetermined whether to make a shower of it or not. It froze as it struck the pavements, making it easy for early birds to hunt for worms, they could get so close to the ground with so little trouble. About ten o'clock, though, the clerk of the weather made up his mind that it was rain that we wanted, and rain we got, making the transaction of out-door business most disagreeable. In the afternoon the clerk changed his mind again, and rattled us off a snow storm of most respectable dimensions, to the great delight of the Raging Tads who possess sleds, and whose parents are willing to risk the inevitable $1 and costs hanging over the head of every Tad caught coasting on the public streets.
