Strawberry Ice Box Pie
One quart strawberries, 2 cups boiling water, 1 pkg strawberry flavored gelatin, graham crackers, 3 tbsp powdered sugar, 4 tbsp butter.
Wash and hull berries, pour boiling water over gelatin, stir until dissolved. Let it cool and then chill until slightly thickened.
Crush crackers very fine, add butter and sugar. Mix thoroughly and pat firmly into a well buttered pie dish.
When gelatin is slightly thickened, pour over berries in chilled pie crust. Put in refrigerator until chilled. Serve with or without a dollop of whipped cream slightly sweetened and flavored with vanilla.
