TRENTON, N. J., March 6—(AP)—Drivers who toot at the man ahead when the light turns green will pay $50 for their impatience, if a bill sponsored by Assemblyman J. Richard Kafes (D-Mercer) is enacted.
"It is believed that the shortest space of time is that elapsing between the time a traffic light changes and the driver of the vehicle directly behind sounds his horn," Kafes said in a statement attached to the bill. "This act is designed to break up this stupid practice by subjecting the violator to a penalty."
