We find the following in the St. Louis New Era, furnished that paper by the clerk of the Nimrod, who obtained it in New Orleans from an officer of the army who left Camargo on the 3d inst. He states that all the regular troops had taken up their line of march for Monterey. Two thousand volunteers under the command of Gen. Butler, had crossed the river San Juan. (Gen. Patterson remaining in command at Camargo.) Gen. Taylor would leave on the 5th, or at the farthest on the 7th, for Seralvo, at which place the troops would concentrate. (Gen. Worth was in advance, but was to await the arrival of Gen. T., and immediately upon his arrival, the whole army will march for Monterey. Gen. Wool was still at San Antonio, waiting for transportation. Col. Harney, it was understood, had returned to San Antonio
